Verified Reviewer |Charged $707.68 for canceled order #K87076****—Lenovo intercepted the shipment but kept my money!
- - Shipped after cancellation; charged $707.68.
- - Intercept attempted; package never arrived.
- - Disputes filed; avoid purchasing directly from Lenovo.
I am warning all consumers to avoid purchasing directly from Lenovo. I ordered a laptop, experienced severe shipping delays, and was explicitly told by their own customer service representatives to cancel the order and buy somewhere else.
I canceled it immediately.
Lenovo processed the shipment later that day anyway. I called back instantly, and they promised they would issue a "Return to Sender" carrier intercept to pull the package back, assuring me I would never be charged. The package was successfully intercepted by the carrierit never arrived at my house, and I never signed for or took possession of it.
Despite this, Lenovo pushed an unauthorized charge of $707.68 through on my credit card. They are currently holding both my money and the physical laptop.
Their front-line support staff is completely useless, giving me endless scripts about a "pending RMA" on an item they intercepted before it ever reached me.
I have been forced to file a formal dispute with American Express, the BBB, and consumer protection agencies just to claw my money back. Absolutely disgraceful business practices.

Lenovo, did not fixed the issue and I had to pay Curry’s £50 for the diagnostic (which I told them that I require a new motherboard) and £50 for the repair.I wanted to make an official complaint to Lenovo but all to no avail. NO RESPONSE!I have now deleted all programs in relation to Lenovo on my laptop as I don't want another update to crash my laptop!Lenovo is a total waste of time
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product or service ordered.
Not very good at all! All I get is scammers saying that they are from Lenovo and offering £500 plus another £150 compensation!!They are trying to get to my bank account and Barclays Bank has stopped the payment as instead of a refund they are trying to get the money out!!Please delete my account details and forget about my problem with Lenovo!!
After a Lenovo software update last Friday, I keep getting the loop of YES, this choice with flash ROM part, or NO, abort recovery mode and restart system. In the community forum, they said what to do, but nothing works! Your support is atrocious as I am unable to talk to anyone. I am 74 years old, and I never had this hassle with my previous DELL.
I don't expect any type of response, but at least it makes me feel better! Regards, ***
- Good laptop
- No support apart from a community forum
Preferred solution: Repair the laptop as I don't feel after a Lenovo upgrade this is my fault!

Verified Reviewer |Repairs under warranty created more repairs under warranty
- - Lenovo P14s had repeated repairs with parts replaced; issues persist.
- - Warranty is 5 years, but customer paid ~1800 with no relief; upgrade denied.
I mean, God bless him. They did everything they could I guess using parts from other computers or what not theyve had to replace every component every every little aspect of his computer and Im still giving issues.
I cant stand it. Its taking me to mail it in three times and to have a service tech Stand Up all week then meet another individual and twice with that one then another delivery it was freaky Computer does not work a Lenova P 14 S. So you know it cost around $1800 and a warranty was for five years and now I have nothing to show for all that. I mean its been three reps on the Internet through email.
They keep passing the buck and initially I just said listen.
Why dont we just upgrade immediately? Why dont we just go ahead and cut the *** We dont have to do repair repairs and I will switch our computers and Ill have something thats gonna work and they deny that even though its part of my #Warranty, what the ***

Verified Reviewer |READ BEFORE ORDERING!!: Deceptive and Fraudulent Advertising of Computers as In-Stock
- - Lenovo is good, but in-stock waits can be long.
- - 2/25/26 order; window moved to 3/23/26, compensation promised.
- - As of 3/25/26 it hasn't shipped.
While Lenovo is an excellent computer brand in general, I highly recommend choosing another brand if you're not prepared to wait months for an "in-stock" computer.
On 2/25/26, I purchased a Lenovo laptop, with a delivery guarantee of between 3/5/26 and 3/9/26. It was then moved to 3/23/26, and I was guaranteed that it would ship by that date and that I would be fully compensated for the expenses I incurred due to Lenovo fraudulently advertising a backordered computer as in-stock.
It is now 3/25/26, and it has not shipped.
Lenovo has no idea when it will ship at this point. Their customer service team has no ability to help.
They can only send a fulfillment request. They have sent 3 already, and all have been ignored and never responded to.
At this point, *** needs to reimburse me for the $250 I am out due to this delay, and they need to ship the product today.
- Good computers
- Customer service not empowered to fix problems
- Lack of compensation for losses due to direct lenovo conduct
- Fraudulent and deceptive advertising
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Don't buy a Lenovo unless you can wait months for an "in-stock" computer.
I bought this laptop from Walmart before Christmas and I hate it! When I'm typing, it kicks me to a different location on the email for no reason. Especially if I press the SHIFT key!
- - Cursor jumps to a different place while typing, especially with SHIFT.
- - It happens during email composition; the user suspects a defect.
I accept that I'm new to laptop computers, but I don't understand why I can't type anything without this computer kicking me to a different location on the page for no reason. I noticed this happens especially when I'm typing an email and I hit the SHIFT key.
It just decides to go somewhere like it just did while I type this complaint! Did I get a lemon?
User's recommendation: Don't buy Lenova
Bought a phone case from ***
- - Bought a phone case after viewing pictures; delivered 1/23/2026; it protects the back but not the screen, and it is hard to install or remove.
I bought a phone case after looking at all the pictures, it looked good to me. I received it 1/23/2026, tried to put kit on the phone, (it protects the back not the front (screen) Fought to get it on, fought to get it back off.
It is sort of embarrassing that Lenovo could think consumers are stupid. The phone case is a disaster, does not fit.
User's recommendation: Don't buy phone case off of Lenovo

Verified ReviewerRequest for Hinge Repair Due to Known Design Defect – Lenovo IdeaPad 5
- - The hinge on the IdeaPad 5 cracked and separated from the frame.
- - The issue is not due to misuse, but a defect.
- - Forum notes hinge complaints; suits exist.
Dear Lenovo Support,
I am contacting you regarding a hinge and frame failure on my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 laptop. The hinge has cracked and separated from the plastic frame under normal use, making it difficult and unsafe to open and close the screen.
This appears to be a structural defect, not caused by any misuse or accidental damage.
After researching this issue, I discovered that many other Lenovo IdeaPad 5 users are experiencing identical problems. In fact, this forum thread on Lenovos own site documents widespread complaints: Lenovo Forum Broken Hinge Thread
Additionally, Lenovo has faced class-action suits for hinges prematurely failing on Yoga and Flex models (e.g., Singh v. Lenovo, filed March 2020). This shows Lenovo was aware of hinge design defects across multiple product lines.
My IdeaPad 5 exhibits the same symptoms cracked hinge plastic, loose frame, and separation despite only regular use.
Given the known nature of this problem and its similarity to previously litigated defects, I am requesting that Lenovo provide a warranty-free repair or replacement of the affected hinge/frame components.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Issen Shamon

User's recommendation: Do not buy Lenovo products. They have the worst customer service i have ever seen and had a civil law suit in which they loss because they knowengly sent out defective products because they knew the issue would only arise after the warranty cleared which is 1 year.

Purchased IdeaPad in October 2024. The USB-A port stopped working around April 2025, and the USB-C stopped functioning today.
I called customer support. The representative was difficult to understand, and while she was trying to help me troubleshoot the issue, she would give me an instruction, and I would have to ask her for the next step. Her directions were not detailed and clear. I felt she lost patience and just decided to issue a repair ticket.
Now I have to ship the laptop away for repair. An hour-long call just to come to that.

Is it not operational at this time? At most you have a Gen 2 based on the warranty expiration.
Gen 7 is currently out.
A Gen 2 is worth $3-$500. The most they should do is offer $3-$500 off a Gen 7.
